10 Great Father’s Day Specials Around DFW

Dads deserve celebrations too. With Father’s Day coming up on June 18, it’s time to start thinking about how to honor all the hard work that dads put into being dads.

Whether you’re planning a fun family brunch out or want some barbecue to pick up and take home to Dad, these Dallas restaurants serve everything. Oh, and plenty of beer and bourbon options ensure Dad has the best possible Father’s Day.

 

Haywire

Head to Haywire in Uptown or Plano to take advantage of its Father’s Day brunch buffet that includes a seafood bar, carving station, fixings, sides, and desserts for $59.95 per adult, $19.95 for kids five to 12, and complimentary for kids under 5. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Father’s Day.

 

Old 75 Beer Garden

Take dad to a party at this beer garden and enjoy a 12-ounce certified Angus New York strip steak grilled to order on its outdoor barbeque, corn on the cob, a pound of red potatoes, a slice of Texas toast, and a choice of an Old Fashioned made with Elijah Craig small batch bourbon or Shiner Bock. That’s $35.75 per person.

 

One90 Smoked Meats

For those looking to celebrate at home, One90 will have to-go whole briskets for $150 each. Place orders by Wednesday, June 14, and pick them up on Father’s Day.

Sometimes Dad just wants a steak. Scratch the itch with brunch and dinner specials here on Father’s Day. Get 6 oz, filet mignon for $34.75, a 12 oz. filet nignon for $59.75, a

16 oz. Prime New York strip for $62.75, or the 22 oz. Prime cowboy cut ribeye for $69.75. All are served with red potatoes and green beans.

 

Greenville Avenue Pizza Company

Grab Dad GapCO’s “Ultimate Dad Bod Dinner Special,” with a salad (feed the whole dad bod, okay?), wings, a calzone, and a cookie or brownie. Get that for $60.

 

Bread Winners Cafe & Bakery

Take the dad who enjoys a classic brunch to this longtime Dallas favorite. It offers two specials on Saturday and Sunday of Father’s Day weekend. Steak and eggs made with Akashi prime ribeye, two eggs, brunch potatoes, and a handmade biscuit for $22, and a cold brew Old-Fashioned made with Knob Creek for $12. Simple, elegant, classic brunch with a twist of dad vibes. 

 

Fearing's Restaurant

Another longtime Dallas favorite is hosting a Father’s Day brunch loaded with barbecue, bourbon, and brews — all the things dads are said to love. It includes a three-course prix fixe menu with dishes including barbecue bacon wrapped quail on cornbread pudding with Firecracker Slaw and smoky peach marmalade; a plate of brisket, baby back ribs and jalapeno wagyu sausage with crunchy potato salad, beans, tobacco onions and West Texas chow chow; and a summer cherry crisp. The cost is $130 per adult or $45 per child, available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

 

Yardbird Table & Bar

A few yummy specials on Father’s Day at this spot, including the Father’s Day mixed grill with spicy fennel andouille sausage, pit-smoked burnt ends, lacquered chicken haunch, or St. Louis ribs for $62 per person, and a chocolate skillet brownie with salted bourbon caramel and coffee ice cream for $18.

 

La Stella Cucina Verace

This Italian restaurant will offer Father’s Day specials all weekend, including Maine lobster bisque, tomahawk steaks, and grigliata di pesce (a grilled seafood platter including lobster, prawns, calamari skewers and swordfish). It will also offer half-off select bottles of wine and desserts.

 

Billy Can Can

Take dad out for a three-course, family-style dinner at this Western-themed saloon. The family can all enjoy three appetizers, a meat platter that includes a prime ribeye steak, dueling sausages, hot-fried quail, or barbecue short rib, sides, and a choice of desserts, all for $75 per person and $25 for kids under 12. An optional bourbon tasting or wine pairing is also available to add on.
